2010 State Convention
The Democratic Party is excited to host its 2010 Convention in Athens, Georgia on August 14th, from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. In addition to the business of the convention, the weekend will include trainings, film screenings, and other events. The Convention will take place at the Classic Center in downtown Athens located at 300 North Thomas Street Athens, GA 30601-2627 (map).
Hotel Reservations
Rooms are reserved at both the Holiday Inn and Hilton Garden Inn at $89 and $114 a night respectively, under the group code "DPG."

Delegates: The counties have held public caucuses for their delegates. For any questions, please contact your county party chair at www.georgiademocrat.org/county_chairs
All State Committee members are automatically delegates.
There is a voluntary delegate fee of $50. Those who pay the fee will receive a boxed lunch, t-shirt, convention bag, and help the DPG defray the costs of the convention. Please make checks payable to DPG.
Friday, August 13th
Trainings
Campaign trainings will be held on Friday, August 13th at the UGA Learning Center in Athens. RSVP for a training here.
There is no cost to attend the training.
7:00 p.m.-BBQ Dinner and Film Festival at The Foundry. Dinner is $15.

Saturday, August 14th

Film Festival/After Party: Immediately afterwards. The movie By The People at CINE located 234 West Hancock Ave between Pulaski and Hull Streets, Athens, GA.
