Rome Day of Service event

In answering Barack Obama's call to put our values into practice and Be The Change, Rome Young Democrats and Barack Obama's Campaign for Change volunteers will be participating in Barack Obama's National Day of Service.  With the current economic crisis, more and more family members are turning to soup kitchens and food pantries to help nourish their families.  To help meet this need, volunteers will be canvassing neighborhoods collecting canned and dry food goods to be donated to the new Soup Kitchen in North Rome.  You can help by volunteering your time to help canvass in shifts of approximately 2 hours or by donating items at the Kelsey - Aycock Burrell Center.
