Metro-Atlanta Neighborhood Leader Workshops Begin

Democratic Neighborhood Leaders,

Whether it was at a House Party, a delegate training workshop, a County Party meeting, a conversation with our Field Staff at the State Party, or the good advice of a dear (and Democratic!) friend each of you arrived to the same desire for action: you signed up to become a Neighborhood Leader!

 The Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Party of Georgia, our national, state, and local candidates, and the now 42,000 Neighborhood Leaders throughout the nation welcome you into this growing community of Democratic activists.

For those of you in the Metro-Atlanta area(Fulton, Dekalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, and Clayton counties) the Democratic Party of Georgia has announced our Neighborhood Leader Workshops.  These workshops will provide you, a budding or longtime activist, with the skills and resources needed to successfully meet the goals of the Democratic Neighborhood Leader and more critically create the infrastructure necessary-and long neglected- to ensure victory in 2008 and beyond.  The Neighborhood Leader will:

1. Contact 25 of your Democratic neighbors......

2. Three times between now and November 4th(Election Day).....

3. And recruit 2 other Neighborhood Leaders along the way to do the same..... 

The workshops will cover questions you no doubt may have:

1. What do I say to my neighbors?

2. How much time will this require from me?

3. Why these 25 voters in my neighborhood?

4. How will I find additional Neighborhood Leaders?

5. Why the need for Democratic Leaders, I have contributed to the Party or my  preferred candidate(s)?

 These and many other questions will be answered at our Workshops.

 All of our Workshops will be held at the Democratic Party of Georgia HQ's in Midtown, Atlanta.  One must only attend 1 workshop and they are free.
