For the past 13 years my family and I have lived, worked and invested in Alpharetta and continue to run our growing businesses from our north Fulton offices. The decisions made at the Georgia State Capitol have had direct impact on may of us who raise our families in this area and throughout the state.

Dr. Jeff Scott is running for Congress because he truly feels that if you have a passion to make a difference you must do it. Jeff is a native of beautiful Walker County. He and his wife Holly, along with their pug Oscar, now reside in historic Chickamauga and are members of Fort Oglethorpe First Baptist Church.

A lifetime in the 140th District, experience as a small business owner and county commission chair, and a real understanding of the concerns of middle Georgia - that's what James "Bubber" Epps, Jr. brings to his race against Republican Allen Freeman. 

For Sherry Jackson, working to promote the common good and give back to a community that has blessed her with so much is her life's work. A lawyer for the Elderly Legal Assistance Program and the executive director for the Community Care Services Program, Sherry has dedicated her life to helping make the lives of others better.

It's with that charitable spirit in mind that she decided to enter politics, announcing her candidacy for Georgia State Senate in the 46th District, covering Clarke, Oconee, and Walton Counties.

Ralph Noble, who is running for Georgia House of Representatives, is a teacher and former President of the Georgia Association of Educators. His top issues are fully funding our schools, protecting our natural resources, and fighting for responsible tax reform. This is his first campaign for public office. Doug Heckman, a Norcross resident, is running for Congress in Georgia's 7th District. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Heckman also holds an MBA from Duke University.

Democrat and Iraq War veteran Bobby Saxon is challenging first-term incumbent Republican Paul Broun in the 10th Congressional District. Last year, the 10th was the scene of a hotly-contested special election, and Bobby hopes to return the district to Democratic hands for the first time since 1994.

Fayette County Democrat Kevin Madden is running for the Georgia House of Representatives in District 72. Madden faces multiple Republicans in a special election set for December 18th.

A longtime resident of Fayette County, Kevin is President-elect of his local Kiwanis Club, and Chairman of the Atlanta Air Cargo Association. He is a member of Holy Trinity Church.

Josh Lanier approved the formation of an exploratory committee for the U.S. Senate because he agrees with the majority of Georgians that the nation is off course; and his life experiences - as a fifth-generation Georgian, war veteran, Senate staff member, association leader and businessman - provide a knowledge that patriots are needed now to help make the changes that can get America back on track.

Bill Gillespie, of Chatham County, is a retired Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army, who has seen service in Iraq, Kuwait, Korea, and Germany. Bill recently announced his campaign to challenge Republican Jack Kingston in the 1st Congressional District, located in Southeast Georgia.
